A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2014)

To celebrate the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare and the 225th anniversary of Munich’s Englischer Garten, Entity Theatre performed an abridged adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Conny Loder. Athens: Hermia loves Lysander, Lysander loves Hermia, Helena loves Demetrius – but: Demetrius does not love Helena, but Hermia. To make matters worse, Hermia’s mother, Egea, insists on Hermia marrying Demetrius. How can this dilemma be solved? By running away into the woods! In the woods, near Athens: The Fairy King and Queen are at a merry war. When the Fairy King decides to play a trick on his Queen, it affects not only her, but also the four lovers: Lysander now loves Helena instead of Hermia! How can this dilemma be solved?
