Twelfth Night, or What You Will (2017)

Entity Theatre’s 2017 open air summer production is William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, abridged by Conny Loder. A storm rages on the sea which threatens to destroy a ship. Onboard are identical twins, Viola and Sebastian. When the ship breaks apart, the twins are separated and are swept onto Illyria’s shores, each thinking the other one has drowned. Bowing to her misfortune — assuming she has lost her brother forever — Viola imitates Sebastian by dressing like him. She now calls herself Cesario, and, as fate would have it, falls in love with Duke Orsino, who himself pines for Lady Olivia’s love, but Olivia is in love with Cesario. And then, there is Malvolio – a stern Puritan turned romantic lover – desperately trying to attract Olivia’s attention..
