The Joy of Discovery – Improv Workshop with Elizabeth Goetze

What if you could stop thinking, trust your instincts, and simply play?

We tend to think of improvisation as comedy — quick wit, funny characters, and making things up on the spot. But improv has much deeper roots. Long before it became the comedic art form we know today, it was used as a tool for actor training, spontaneity, connection, and presence.

On November 7, join us for a four-hour workshop to discover the playful, spontaneous side of performance. Through games, exercises, and improvised scenes, we’ll explore how to listen more deeply, respond instinctively, take risks, and trust ourselves to create something together out of nothing.

Whether you’re drawn to comedy, drama, or simply want to become a more confident and responsive performer, this workshop is a chance to get out of your head and into the moment.

This event will be hosted by Elizabeth Goetze and will take place on 7 November 2026 from 13:00 – 17:00 in the MUCCA Tanzstudio. Elizabeth has been active in improv theatre since 2012. She has trained with teachers around the world and is a member of the Munich improv group Bake This.
