Acting in Film Workshop with Daniel Holzberg

Step in front of the camera and explore what makes a performance feel natural, engaging, and alive on screen.

Participants will receive scenes in advance to prepare, and during the workshop we’ll work on audition technique, scene work, and acting for the camera in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Through practical exercises, individual feedback, and plenty of time on camera, you’ll have the chance to experiment, build confidence, and discover how small choices can make a big impact on screen.

This event will be hosted by Daniel Holzberg and will take place on the weekend of 21/22 November at MUCCA Kommandoraum. Daniel studied directing at the Filmakademie Vienna between 2019 and 2024. His first project Triumph of the Actor (co-written with long-time collaborator Ercan Karacayli) told the story of a Turkish-German actor who tires of playing terrorists and attempts to win a role as Hitler. The short film was nominated for a student BAFTA. Daniel has also acted in productions such as The Zone of Interest, Beckenrand Sheriff and The Queen’s Gambit. Currently, he is preparing his feature film debut Gestörte Gesellschaft.
