Auditions for Willy Russel´s Educating Rita

Entity Theatre is heading back to the 1980s for its spring 2027 production of Willy Russell’s Educating Rita.

We’re searching for our Rita and Frank, two very different people brought together by literature, learning and the occasional drink.

What’s it all about?
Rita is a hairdresser who has had enough of small talk and perms, so she signs up for an Open University literature course. Her tutor, Frank (open to all genders), is a brilliant and talented but burnt-out lecturer whose relationship with whisky has become more committed than his relationship with teaching. What follows is a funny and very touching story about class, education and finding your voice.

Double the Franks, double the Ritas!
We’re double casting both roles. That means two Frank and Rita pairs, each performing half of the run.

When: Monday, 14 December 2026 at 7pm.
Where: MUCCA Kommandoraum, Schwere-Reiter-Str. 2C, 80636 Munich.
