ORVIN – CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
Casting for our December musical event ORVIN, CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS is officially underway. Things started off in suitably epic fashion with a 9,5 hr workshop last Sunday the 26th of July – kudos to the brave souls who attended. Deliberations and, quite possibly, further auditions will take place throughout August.
The cast and crew of ORVIN, CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS will be announced in September.
This year’s Christmas play will address a request that has been made by many members, time and again: that Entity, after having mastered various dramatic forms, should, for the first time in its 27-year history, at last do a musical.
Suffice it to say, the long wait is over – the time is finally upon us: this December we are going to embark on an all-out musical adventure and present ORVIN – CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS, an epic musical of accidental heroism, by Alan Ayckbourn with music by Denis King.
ORVIN will be a massive production full of musical fun, thrills and spectacle. Expect gods and monsters, kings and princes, gallant heroes and dastardly villains, not to mention beautiful princesses and damsels in varying states of distress.
ORVIN – CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS will premiere in December 2026 at Einstein Kultur. Rehearsals will start in September, the casting workshop will take place in late July.
The show will be directed and produced by Jeremy McCowatt, co-directed by Barrett Jones and stage-managed by Birgit Mueller.
As constant readers of our newsletter will know, this particular production will see us broadening our range and boldly venturing into uncharted territory and hitherto unexplored realms – to wit, the world of the MUSICAL.
