For the 2019 open air summer production, Entity Theatre performs William Shakespeare’s most often played tragedy, Romeo & Juliet.
Adaptation and directed by Conny Loder, assistant direction by Julia Pflüger, produced by Ken Lawler.
A feud, going back several decades, between two families, erupts anew when the Capulet and Montague clans meet in broad daylight. With the Prince trying to install order, this order lasts only briefly since the Montague clan risks further conflict by secretly gate-crashing the Capulets’ masked ball. Romeo, although pining for Rosaline, instantly falls in love with Capulet’s daughter, Juliet. While Capulet has arranged for Juliet to marry County Paris, she, too, falls in love with Romeo…
