Playwriting Workshop with Michael Goodwin Hilton (2026)

From Page to Stage: Voices were unleashed on March 1st!

Our sincerest thanks go out to Michael Goodwin Hilton for sharing his expertise, generosity and passion with ten aspiring writers on a cozy, late-morning on the first Sunday in March. The session was filled with creativity, insights, and lively discussions hopefully providing that much needed spark, igniting the future poems, plays, short stories and novels of this group of creative voices on the rise.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to turn a spark of an idea into a standing ovation? This workshop was an immersive afternoon of creative expression and a rare glimpse behind the curtains of professional playwriting. The workshop was an introduction to the foundations of writing for the theatre, exploring both the technical considerations pertaining to structure as well as the creative process by which ideas are channeled into dialogue and action. Participants were able to explore how to turn their “what if” into “Act I”.
